Knowing HIM in His Word and Prayer by Thomas J. Mozden is a daily devotional study designed to meditate and dig deeper into God’s Word. Each devotional seeks to display and reveal the author’s meditation and thoughts that touched his being, as each scripture verse chosen, he felt led by the Holy Spirit to read. “His Word is alive, and it is here where you will find true life and the gateway to eternal life.” ~ writes the author. He hopes that readers will understand that God’s Word is alive and an all-consuming fire. It is also the author’s hope that each person picking up the book will be touched, inspired, and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ ~ who paid such a high price for the free gift of salvation.

Several themes run throughout the book, as the author mentions 3 words that are repeated and non-negotiable in speaking of life in Christ. They are: Trust, forgiveness, and love. I love that he begins his book with the scripture verse Matthew 11:28 GNB, “Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.”

His insights are compassionate, valuable, and give a fresh perspective to many who will come to understand that this author offers a contemplative interpretation of Scripture. I also came to appreciate his wisdom, insight, intelligence, and greatly valued his perspective.

This book will bring readers into a deeper relationship and understanding of the Word, as they seek the Lord in their own meditation, prayer, and their own perspective. Written for believers, but this also comes as a wonderful book to encourage others to believe in the Lord and to ignite faith, hope, strength, and love through reading God’s Word.

This book also comes highly recommended for those who seek a book written and guided by someone who is Holy Spirit-led in their writings.

A Psalm For All Of Life - Psalm 23

The Shepherd: Experiencing Psalm 23 - James Collins takes readers through the 23rd Psalm – giving readers the experience of one of the most popular Psalms in the Bible.

He describes Psalm 23 as a psalm for all of life. When faced with trials, tribulation, sorrow, and death – the Psalm gives comfort to all. When in need of hope – Psalm 23 gives comfort and courage to all who would seek to understand that we are His chosen people and we are the sheep of His (Christ’s) pasture. And He is the Good Shepherd, the Shepherd who cares for the sheep. There is no other Psalm like the 23rd Psalm to help one understand the care that the Shepherd gives to His sheep.

Within that the author endeavors to help readers understand the deeper meaning of the contrast between saying that Jesus is My Shepherd. The line that struck me was there are no wild sheep. If sheep run they will die in the wild. As such, he defines the absolute care and protection that the Shepherd brings to His flock. The Shepherd cares for each and every one, as a shepherd in the field cares for the sheep. He also mentions that even though Psalm 23 is often read at funerals, Psalm 23 is a psalm for all the days of our lives – to give life and hope.

With such chapters as: That’s Enough, The Right Path, Through the Valley, Behind Enemy Lines, The Best is Yet to Come, I Am the Good Shepherd, Shepherds and the Lamb with a chapter on How to Receive Christ – making this book an experience of Psalm 23 and a life-changing Psalm.

I love the interludes, the thought-provoking stories, and the way he summarizes what he writes in a simplistic way without too much theology or long-winded preaching. The author speaks from the heart as a Biblical counselor and pastor that comforts.

Wonderful insight and Biblical integrity envelope the book, giving readers hope, inspiration, comfort, courage, and hope. All will see that walking with the Lamb of God as the Good Shepherd is the way to peace, contentment, and hope in this dark world. It is the Good Shepherd who gave His life for the sheep. Experiencing this book brings a deeper appreciation for the Cross and a greater understanding of Psalms 22, 23, and Psalm 24 as well. It was David who penned these psalms, which are still incredibly relevant for today. They also reveal the magnificence of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, who came to save the world and to die on a Cross for all who would receive Him. This is an exemplary book!

A highly recommended read for those looking for hope and encouragement amid fear, anxiety, worry, and depression – Psalm 23 is a lifetime Psalm for all.

The Greatest Mass Rescue Mission In Human History

Using the Scriptures from the second book of Moses, The Exodus, as the framework, this book brings to life the greatest mass rescue mission in human history.

This adventure shines a “too revealing” spotlight on the lives of Kalev (Caleb), Hoshe’a (Joshua) and Moshe (Moses). You will relate to the hopes, fears, maladies and maybe even their character flaws. They were simply normal people trying to survive horrendous circumstances. A damaged and broken Hebrew race that the all-powerful Yahweh (God Is) chose to call His own.

This novel reminds us all, that ordinary people like us can overcome and do miraculous things through God, and for His purposes.

Inspiring, full of scriptural architecture, the unknowing and woefully unprepared, Kalev blindly charged into a covert world of orphaned children turned to lethal guerrillas. Literally behind enemy lines, the very reluctant General Kalev joined his mother and brother in the seemingly impossible task of rescuing, training, providing for and leading, a partisan army of thousands of orphaned and abused children. And doing it all, right under the noses of one of the most evil empires in history.

Captivating! This book is the first in the series, True to Yahweh. General: The Story of Kalev: The Son of Hezron, reveals the deplorable and often fatal conditions of a Hebrew slave in Egypt. This biblically based narrative, “puts skin on” the broken people of the Exodus.

On the same day, all the water in Egypt turned to blood, you’ll be Introduced to the main characters, Kalev (Caleb), Hoshe’a (Joshua) and eventually Kalev’s most hated foe, the ex-prince Moshe (Moses). The novel sheds light on the once, woefully silent God of their forefathers. Dr, Woodward earned a PhD. in Theological studies from Logos University. His keen biblical accuracy, brilliant description, and wonderful character development, offers readers an HD, first person point of view of the wonderous displays of God’s Mighty Hand.

For those that enjoy novels, but want them to adhere to biblical truth, this novel and series comes highly recommended.

Insightful! This novel is a triumphant look into God’s personable nature, revealing His attributes as our kind, merciful, patient and even hilarious Creator. It also peals back the curtain and reveals another facet of God’s personality– that of a Warrior King, and as the author put’s it, “the quintessential Mother Bear!” Readers will relish in Yahweh’s unique and very personal relationships. This book celebrates The God who created humour. He actually laughs and playfully teasing the ones He’s “especially fond of.”.

Describing what life was like in those ancient days, this book brings to life the lives of Kalev (Caleb), Hoshe’a (Joshua), and their family. Intertwining a fast-paced read that involves an orphan army raised by the brothers and their mother.

Triumphs, sorrows, romance and the like, explode into their world as they weigh the humbling and very dangerous possibilities of truly following our Yeshua (deliverer). Escaping Pharaoh's armies, only 1/3 of all the Hebrew slaves chose to “blindly trust” their previously silent, and possibly powerless God Yahweh. Eventually, the highly trained orphan Army is joined by thousands of emotionally scarred, and broken Hebrew families as they fearfully, yet bravely gather in the no-man’s land of the bleak Egyptian Desert.

Sin - Gospel Basics

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  (Romans 3:23)

Sin is breaking God’s Law or missing the mark.

As the Creator, God has set the standard (or mark) for mankind to be 100% perfection.  Unfortunately, man had never been able to live up to these standards.  The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created sinless and perfect in God’s image.  However, they lost their perfection by disobeying God.  As a result, a sin nature entered into them that was passed down to us from generation to generation.  We are, consequently, ALL born with a sin nature.

Sin entered the universe even before Adam and Eve.  The most powerful Angelic Being, a Cherub named Lucifer, was the first sinner and pride was the first sin.  As a powerful Angel, through whom all worship flowed, he alleged that God was hording all the glory for Himself and wanted some of that worship.  Pride is always self-seeking and envious.  Dissention broke out in heaven as Lucifer convinced one-third of the angelic beings to side with him.  They were thus thrown out of heaven.  It was Lucifer (the Serpent) who persuaded Adam and Eve to sin, using the same tactics he used on his angelic counterparts: that God is holding out on them.

Here was God’s situation.  On one hand, one-third of His created angelic realm had just rebelled and tried to overthrow His very throne.  God’s very nature required Him to punish that rebellion since the foundation of God’s Kingdom is based on Righteousness and Justice.  On the other hand, two-thirds of the angelic beings remained loyal to God.  He wanted to reassure those faithful angels that His eternal love is for them is genuine.

We also have man who had just sinned against God.  Two of God’s created beings, the angels and man, had missed the mark.  Was this a dilemma for God? Not at all!

On the contrary, this was part of God’s secret plan to demonstrate to ALL of His created beings His absolute love and righteousness.  This plan would be one of reconciliation and restoration through grace and forgiveness.  Jesus would take upon Himself our sins and give us in return, His perfect righteousness!

There is only one way in which God could forgive the sin of man and be perfectly just at the same time.  He would come down to earth as a man (Jesus), live without sin, and later go to the cross and bear His own righteous judgement for ALL sin.  He would them rise from the grave, forever conquering death and Satan, and reign forever in heaven with His chosen elect.

So in a sense, a great way to know for sure that you will be spending eternity in heaven is to sin. This may sound odd since the normal thought process would be to assume that sin assures anything but a ticket to heaven.  But it’s true.  You see, without sin, you cannot accept God’s free gift of grace and be saved!

What Will Be The Signs Before The Return of Christ

In Genesis God declares that He created the sun and the moon for signs.
On April 8, 2024, is the Great American Eclipse that crosses over the United States on the first day of the Hebrew month of Nisan (Passover). This was the same first day of the three days of darkness that occurred during the original plagues in Egypt. This solar eclipse is a HEAVENLY sign from the Creator which will be the starting gun for a series of wars over the next several years, including the final war against Amalek which is represented today by Radical Islam - Iran and its Hamas, Hezbollah, Isis, the Islamic Jihad, the Houthis and, some of which, are already attacking US soldiers and facilities in Iraq and Syria almost daily. In this book you'll find every Shemitah Cycle and Jubilee Cycle from the Creation of the World until today.
You'll see the timing of major biblical and important historical events.
